It's December 20th already, and Christmas is just around the corner. For many countries, mostly the western countries, like the US, Australia and many European countries, Christmas is typically the largest annual economic stimulus. Sales increase dramatically in almost all retail areas and shops introduce new products as people purchase gifts, decorations, and supplies. Everyone is happy everyday, greeting the Christmas. Though in most areas, Christmas Day is the least active day of the year for business and commerce, almost all retail, commercial and institutional businesses are closed, and almost all industries cease activities (more than any other day of the year), people are usually very busy preparing for the holy day.

Like many other families, the Marks were also preparing for Christmas. They cut a branch from the large pine tree and the children were responsible for the decorations on the tree.
